Home Brew Beer in One Easy Step

Home brewing can at times be a rather arduous task, a very time consuming hobby that sometimes fails to reward the home brewer with that perfect beer or that immaculate wine. Well let those frustrating experiences be banished because there is a simpler way to brew at home.

The Simpler Way to Home Brew

Most kits come with complicated instructions that do not always produce perfect results, but there is an easier way to home brew beer in a few simple steps. No need for priming the beer or any secondary fermentation process, no need for lengthy clarification or constant racking schedules. It's as easy as putting a cap onto a bottle and letting the hard work be completed for you. Here's how it's done:

- What you'll need is a Home brewing cap (*see information at the bottom of this article), some malt extract syrup, sugar and water, some brewer's yeast and an empty fizzy drinks bottle. Step 1) Add 125 grams of granulated sugar and 200ml of malt extract syrup to about 2 litres of water and bring to boil. Stirring occasionally.

Step 2) Let it cool to room temperature and then pour it into a clean, empty fizzy drinks bottle.

Step 3) Then add a pinch of your brewers yeast and place a Home brewing cap on top.

That's it! You simply leave this bottle in a warm, safe place out of direct sunlight for 2-5 days and your great tasting beer will be ready to drink and enjoy.

This method misses out the unnecessary step of 'Priming' to create carbonation as the carbonation is occurring from the very start of the fermentation process. This is possible because the home brewing cap has a pressure valve enabling the perfect amount of pressure to be released from the bottle to prevent bottle explosions but also allowing for the brewed drink to remain fizzy. It also acts as a shield against bacteria and prevents other contaminants from entering into the drink.

It is important to use a home brewing cap containing a pressure valve as opposed to a normal fizzy drinks bottle cap, because caps without pressure valves will cause the home brewing bottles to explode. It is also important to use plastic bottles for home brewing and NOT glass ones.

The great thing about this method is that it can be used to brew many different kinds of drinks, not just beer. You can also use it to brew cider, champagne, sparkling wine, etc. You can also use it to brew non-carbonated drinks such as wine, ales and many more. Or if you want to make non-alcoholic beverages you can do that too.

Give it a try.
